The Food & Founders Starter Pitch is a continuum of the Food & Founders’ series that has featured the likes Justin Rosenburg, founder, Honey Grow; and Chris Gray, founder, Scholly, which was featured on Shark Tank, itself. It will be held on July 14, 2018, from 10 am to 1 pm, at 2930 Jasper St. Suite 103, Phila. Pa 19134, at the Better Than Success Office Space.
This edition will highlight the next great Philly entrepreneurs by giving them a chance to pitch their ideas to peer judges, from different industries, here. The event is a kickstarter for those looking to test their business idea in front of judges, with a chance to win a cash prize presented by the hosts of the event, Ocean 6ix Holdings, and its partner Citizens Bank. Grand prize is $600. Second place is $300.
Each presenter will have 5 minutes to pitch the panel of judges on their idea, following the rubric given to them upon registering. Judges then have the ability to ask 3 questions each, for further details. At the end of the event, the judges will pick the top two presenters to pitch, voting on the first-place and second-place winners.
Special guest judges include Nicole Purvy, founder, Better Than Success, LLC, a global entrepreneurship hub of information and influencers; Michael Reid, founder, Just Mike The Poet, Inc., a multimedia company, which has publsihed the world-renowned book series Dear Woman, and No More Boyfriends.
The event will also be fully catered by Top Slice Personal Chef and Catering, LLC, and guests will receive a sit-down brunch menu to enjoy, while they wait for their turn to pitch.
Admission to be a contestant will be $100, with a maxmimum 28 contestants.
